Around this Nice Scenic Trail
Bosque del Rio Hondo, located within the Whittier Narrows Recreation Area just one mile south of the 60 Freeway, offers year-round trail access to one of the remaining natural streambeds of the Rio Hondo.
This is a very easy and beautiful trail to walk. The trail actually extends past under the 60 freeway, to north side of the Whittier Narrows Recreational Park. We will go at a steady pace so everyone is welcome for this one!

We will meet at the park entrance at 10:30am. Parking is $5 here.
I will be parking at the Montebello Towne center food court at 10:00am and walking to the park entrance. If anyone wants to join, meet up here by 10am and we will walk together.

After the hike, let's go back to the food court for a tasty lunch at Tokyo Grill!
The walk is relatively short, it doesn't look to be more than 1.5 miles, unless we decide to trek under the 60fwy bridge to Whittier Narrows, then it could possibly be around 2-3 miles. Might be cool to cross under the bridge, usually on Saturdays there are people flying their RC planes and helicopters
